Oscar's roll of the dice

Since the popularity of this pattern ran to a shockingly high FOUR, Lady Luck was able to use dice...well, actually just one big blue die.

Lady Luck's underage assistant rolled it...

....and the first item that fitted in the numerical set of {1,2,3,4} was....drum roll please.....THREE!!!

(an awful lot of fives and sixes also came up... leading to Lady Luck's overage assistant to comment: loaded dice, much?)

Underage assistant quickly got bored ...  leading to single-finger-nudge replacing whole-palm-toss.... followed by the plain-whole-fisted-plonk!  and very nearly, a whole lot of broken glass.
