Oscar de la Renta pattern giveaway
Have you ever returned to a pattern that you once came so, so close to starting, but then allowed your attention to be distracted by some other snazzy sewing project? Of course you have. But, have you ever returned to said pattern only to discover, horrors, that a couple of the pattern pieces have gone inexplicably missing?! Arrrgh. That bias green linen dress just isn't going to get made before the snows fly, I fear, as the two skirt pieces are nowhere to be found. I am majorly distressed.
So, to make myself feel better, I'm offering to send off to one of you a pattern I happen to have, and happen to have sewed, and even happen to have in duplicate, with a fresh unopened copy. It's this sporty Oscar de la Renta/Vogue American Designer/Vogue 2854, now out of print (for Katie, OOP), size D (12-14-16). I made the jacket a couple of years back, in a white linen poly blend, with silk organza underlining, and I wear it all the time in the summer. The skirt's kind of snazzy too, straight but made of eight gores - lots of fitting opportunities here.
Just send me a "yes I wannit, and I wannit now!", or a reasonable facsimile thereof, in the comments section, and I'll have Lady Luck, or her unsuspecting underage underling, pick the lucky name.

I'd love to have that designer pattern. I love the legs of the pants, and I'm intrigued by the 8 gore straight skirt. I am such a pattern HOGG! Please enter me!
ReplyDeleteHee-hee, OOP.
ReplyDeleteOooh, pick me!! Love all those pieces, although the side vent on the pant may get a zipper. Oh, the 80s are back...
What a lovely pattern! I'd love to make the skirt, and maybe give the pants a try, too.
ReplyDeleteBeeBee, of "Don't be a chicken clipper!" and
ReplyDeletehttp://beebeepastiche.blogspot.com/ wants it too, but couldn't post directly... you're in, BB!
